SPL TECHNOLOGYTM SPL or Square Pulse Light Technology represents a breakthrough in the Pulsed Light field. It differs from conventional Pulsed Lights at several levels.
Conventional Pulsed Lights Most Pulsed Lights deliver energy at a peak followed by a sharp drop during a shot which may either be one-off or sequenced (several sub-flashes at each flash). Energy is not therefore consistent throughout the duration of the pulse. Such inconsistency must be compensated for with higher-intensity energy use, with consequent increased risk to skin. SPL Technology Using SPL technology, Yperion systems deliver a single square-shaped pulse which gives consistent energy throughout the firing. The target is therefore heated in a more consistent way, thereby enhancing light ray efficacy. Required energy is reduced and safety significantly increased.
